CERAMICS
From wet

I like to think of ceramics as storytellers- the end result of a process, rather than an end product.
Like a cigarette butt or chewed-up gum, its shape emerges from a continuous but finite process.
Unlike a cigarette butt or chewed-up gum, this final shape might be intentionally given to the ceramic piece or rather designed for a specific purpose, such as tableware.
This medium enables the creator to produce a piece with special attention to color, texture and surface quality.
By choosing a gesture that is not only balanced but functional, as well as creating interesting relationships between curvatures and other surface elements, the artist gives rise to a memorable piece hardened in a significant point in time that not only showcases their engagement with it but goes on to be a functional piece of art.
